Controlling donations

James Kirkup's idea that the Electoral Commission should be the conduit through which all political donations are made is a neat one. The only thing I disagree with is the idea that the bloated Commission needs more money. It could easily do this task, if it stopped doing a lot of the other jobs it has invented for itself.
